Stress-test an education program launch before enrollment opens

Stress-test an education program launch before learners, faculty, and compliance partners meet claims that were never sourced.

Program launches fail when learning outcomes outrun assessment design, when faculty load is fiction, when marketing copy implies accreditation or job results you cannot support, or when ops capacity for support and scheduling collapses in week two. Fluency in a launch deck is not readiness. Readiness is surviving hostile seats with schedules, policies, and evidence you can show.

What to freeze

State the learner promise in one sentence, the start date, capacity caps, pricing and refund rules, and the owners for curriculum, compliance, and student support. Attach the syllabus outline, faculty staffing plan, platform readiness notes, and any regulatory or partner requirements you are allowed to share. If the launch mixes a new credential, a new modality, and a new market, split them.

Write the go criteria if the stress test finds nothing material, and the delay criteria if assessment design, staffing, or compliance gaps remain open.

Hostile seating chart

  • Learner seat: whether outcomes, time cost, and refund rules feel fair and clear.
  • Faculty seat: prep load, assessment quality, and what breaks at scale.
  • Compliance seat: claims you cannot make yet and policies that are incomplete.
  • Ops and support seat: enrollment, scheduling, and ticket load in the first thirty days.
  • Skeptic seat: the marketing claim with the weakest evidence.

Optional employer or partner seat if placement or articulation promises sit in the story. Optional finance seat if cohort economics depend on aggressive fill rates.

Private failure loop

Feed Pingpong the launch package and named seats. First pass steelmans the program. Later passes attack from learner, faculty, and compliance angles. Final pass turns surviving objections into syllabus edits, policy fixes, or a narrower enrollment window. Delete invented outcomes, invented partner logos, and invented pass rates.

Force the review to map every public claim to a named exhibit: assessment rubric, staffing roster, refund policy, or compliance note. Orphan claims are the ones that become complaints after enrollment. If an owner cannot be named before open, cut the claim or delay.
