Prepare for an audition using its actual instructions
Extract the requirements from the audition notice, including material, duration, format and submission details. Build your own rehearsal tasks around them, keeping those suggestions separate from official instructions. Ask the organizers about unclear requirements instead of borrowing a rule from a previous audition.

Assumptions that cause trouble
Trace each claimed requirement to the notice or a confirmed organizer reply. Keep your proposed practice sessions and preparation reminders labeled as your plan; they do not need to appear in the notice. Verify material, duration, accompaniment and submission details rather than importing earlier audition rules. Check that the schedule leaves time to resolve unclear instructions. Remove predictions about selection or unsupported claims about what the panel prefers.
Compare the checklist with the supplied notice. Flag missing requirements and any personal preparation suggestion mislabeled as an official rule. Preserve reasonable rehearsal tasks as proposals. Identify unclear instructions needing an organizer's answer and remove predictions about the audition result.
Ask, rehearse and submit carefully
Send your open questions to the contact named in the notice and record each answer beside the matching requirement. Time your piece against the stated limit and rehearse in the format you will use, live or recorded. Submit through the method given, keep proof of what you sent and note the next date the notice lists.
