Appliance manuals mix installation instructions, warranty terms and care guidance. Paste the relevant sections and extract only the tasks a homeowner is meant to do, with the warnings intact.

A text to start with
Here is the care and maintenance section of my refrigerator manual. Extract only the tasks the manual says a user should perform, how often each is due, and any warning or caution text that goes with it. Do not add tasks that aren't in this document. If the manual says to call a technician for something, keep that instruction as written.
Example request. Change the details to fit your situation.
What to check in the checklist
Compare each item with the original section to confirm no paraphrase changed the meaning. Warnings in a manual are worded carefully, so check any shortening closely. Service-only tasks should appear as referrals, not as steps you take yourself. If a frequency was given as a range, the checklist should show the range.
Putting the checklist to use
Save it where you will see it, such as a shared household note or a printout taped inside the cabinet where you keep cleaning supplies. Put the appliance model number at the top so it's handy when you order parts or call for service.
