Plan a busy week from actual course deadlines

List the fixed items first: classes, shifts, appointments and deadlines. Estimate each task, pick the earliest day you can start it and place work blocks in the open gaps. Leave buffer time, because estimates usually run short.

A text to start with

My week runs from [start date] to [end date]. Fixed commitments: [classes, work shifts, appointments with times]. Deadlines from my syllabi: [task, course, due date and time]. My rough time estimates: [estimates]. I usually [finish early, run over or other habit]. Build a day-by-day plan with work blocks, earliest start dates and buffers, including meals and breaks. Mark any task that does not fit.

Estimates and missing rest

A plan that fills every hour leaves no room for a task that runs long. Compare each estimate with how long similar work took you before, and raise it if your past estimates were low. Check that deadlines come from the syllabus or course page, not memory, and include the time of day. Look for days with several large tasks stacked together and for a major deadline with no buffer the day before. Confirm that meals, sleep, travel between locations and breaks appear. Name any task that cannot fit instead of squeezing it in.

Ask another agent to check the result

Find where this weekly plan hides overload. Check for estimates lower than my stated habits suggest, stacked deadlines, missing travel, meals, sleep or breaks, and no buffer before major due dates. List each problem with the day it occurs. Do not add tasks I did not list.

Test the plan against day one

Put fixed events and deadlines on your own calendar first, then add the work blocks. After the first day, compare actual time spent with your estimates and adjust the remaining days. If a task cannot fit, decide whether to ask for an extension through the course's stated process, shorten the scope or move other plans. Check the syllabus before asking anyone for a change.
