Reuse and resale
Arrange an item collection with clear expectations
A collection message names the item, offers a specific time and meeting spot, says what the person needs to bring, and asks for a reply. Until they answer, the plan is a proposal, so word it that way.

Confirmed or still a proposal
Read the draft for wording that treats the pickup as arranged before the other person has replied. Phrases like "see you then" or "all set" are wrong until they confirm a time. Check that the time, date and weekday agree, and that the meeting detail is something you are comfortable sharing before they respond. The message should ask one clear question, such as which of two times works. If the item involves stairs or needs two people, the message should say so.
Read my draft message and quote every sentence that presents the pickup as settled before the recipient has replied. Check that time, date, weekday and meeting detail agree. Rewrite those sentences as proposals and list anything I should ask the person instead of assuming.
Send, wait and update
Send the message yourself on the platform where you made the agreement. Decide in advance how long you will hold the item if no reply comes, and whether you will then offer it to the next person. After they confirm, restate the final time and place in one line so you both hold the same version, and note it in your records.
