Explain product variants without confusing buyers

A buyer comparing options needs to see what changes the purchase. List only the real differences, such as size, material, included items or intended use, and state shared facts once. Build the comparison from your verified item records, not from memory.

A text to start with

I sell [product name] in these variants: [variant names]. Here are my verified facts for each: dimensions [values], materials [values], included items [values], intended use [description]. Draft a comparison for a listing. State shared facts once in a single paragraph, then show only the real differences by variant. Use only the facts I supplied and mark any gap with [missing].

Example request. Change the details to fit your situation.

Differences that do not exist

Two failures turn up most. A shared trait gets written as a perk of one option, such as calling one variant cotton when every variant is. A gap gets filled with a guess, such as an unmeasured dimension or an assumed accessory. Check each claimed difference against the fact record for both variants. If both rows hold the same value, move it to the shared paragraph. Confirm that included items are listed per variant, because an accessory that ships with only one option is the detail buyers most often misread. Remove any phrase you cannot trace to a recorded fact.

Ask another agent to check the result

Compare my variant table with the fact record I supplied. List every claimed difference where both variants actually hold the same value, and every shared fact presented as an advantage of one option. Then list any detail in the table that does not appear in the supplied facts. For each item, quote the line and name the row it conflicts with. Do not add new claims.

Check the table against the product

Hold each variant, or its spec sheet, next to the draft and confirm every row. Fill each [missing] entry from a measurement or supplier document before publishing. Update the same wording wherever the item appears, including other sales channels.
