Getting useful AI help
Correct an AI answer without restarting the whole request
Name the wrong detail, give the correct fact with its source, and list the parts of the answer that depend on it. Ask for a revision of only those parts. This keeps the work that was right and shows where the change landed.

Corrections that do not spread
A corrected fact often appears in several places. The assistant may fix the sentence you pointed to and leave the same wrong number in a summary, table or conclusion. Search the revised answer for the old value, including rounded versions and rephrasings. Check calculations built on the wrong figure, since totals and comparisons may still reflect it. Confirm the correction did not alter parts that were fine. If the assistant says nothing else was affected, verify that yourself.
Check whether this correction propagated through the whole revised answer. Search for the old detail in summaries, tables, totals and conclusions, including rounded or reworded versions. List every place it still appears or still affects a derived result.
Confirm the whole answer is consistent
Read the revised answer from the top and find each place the corrected fact touches. Recompute any derived numbers. Compare the new version with the old to confirm unrelated text stayed the same. If a second error turns up, repeat the correction on that item alone. Save the correction source with the answer so the fix can be traced.
